Large and multi-day weddings
Habesha weddings often run over more than one day: kelekel, telosh, the church or mosque ceremony, the reception, and melse. I photograph these celebrations too, and I know how the days flow and which moments your family will want kept.
Large and multi-day weddings get a custom quote, built around your days and events. A second photographer is available on request. In your inquiry, tell me which days and events you’re planning and roughly how many guests, and I’ll put the quote together.
Want video too?
I lead either photo or video per event, never both at once, so nothing gets missed. If you’d like film as well, I pair you with a trusted videographer I work with, so both get full attention. Mention it in your inquiry and I’ll connect you.
Good to know
How do I reserve my date?
Sign the contract and pay the non-refundable retainer: 30% for weddings, 50% for sessions, baptisms and family events. Until both are done, the date is still open to others.
When is the rest due?
The balance is due by the date written in your contract. Your proposal lists the ways you can pay.
How soon do we get our photos?
Each collection lists its gallery time, from about two weeks for sessions to four to six weeks for weddings. Collections with sneak peeks send a few favorites sooner.
How far ahead should we book?
As early as you can for weekends. Weekend dates are limited, and weekend church dates book quickly.
Where do you photograph?
Across Washington, D.C., Maryland and Virginia. Somewhere further? Ask. Travel is agreed in advance and written into your proposal.
What if we need to change our date?
You can move your date once, with the notice your contract asks for, and your retainer moves with you. The booking terms explain rescheduling and cancelling in plain words.
Do you photograph church ceremonies?
Yes, respectfully. I follow your church’s rules for where I can stand and when I can shoot, and I cover the celebration afterwards too.
Do we get the unedited files?
You get the finished, hand-edited images. Unedited and rejected frames aren’t delivered.
Is there a second photographer?
For large and multi-day weddings, yes, on request, as part of your custom quote.
